7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies Gets New President

The Board and entire the Elders of the Association of 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies in Ghana have confirmed Pastor Enoch Ofori Jnr as the substantive President of the Association of 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies. Pastor Enoch Ofori Jnr succeeds Apostle-Elder Enoch Ofori, Founder and President, who passed away in October 2007. 

The confirmation took place during a General Meeting of the Church held on Sunday, 1st June, 2008 at the Church’s headquarters at Adiebeba in Kumasi. Elders representing branches in all parts of the country were present when the unanimous decision was taken to confirm Pastor Ofori Jnr as the Church’s new President..

Pastor Enoch Ofori Jnr had earlier been appointed acting President in November 2007 following the death of Apostle-Elder Enoch Ofori on 12th October, 2007. Until his elevation, Enoch Ofori Jnr was the Secretary-Treasurer of the Church. A trained and credentialed minister, he has also been in charge of the Church’s publishing arm and online ministry.

The Association of 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies in Ghana was established in 1970 and now has branches not only in Ghana but also abroad. In his acceptance speech, the new Church President said church growth and infrastructural development would be the two key priorities of his presidency.
